Chocolate balls


Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients for 15 balls: 

  • 10 dates, seeded
  • 1 dl almonds or almond flour (by using flour you will not need a mixer)
  • 1 dl dry grated coconut (plus 0,5 dl for decorating in the end)
  • 3 tbsp cocos oil
  • 3 tbsp cacao
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • optional – bio orange peel (meaning no chemicals)

Kitchen equipment: 

  • Mixer (or use cutting board and knife for chopping instead)
  • A soup plate for rolling the balls in the coconut in the end
  • A food container with a lid for storing the balls (alt. resealable bag)
  • Fridge, or any dry & cold space

 How to: 

  1. Prepare 1 dl coconut on the soup plate
  2. Put dates and almonds in the mixer or chop them using the knife and cutting board
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients into mixer or work it thoroughly with your hands
  4. Form a small ball (size of the IKEA meat-balls)
  5. Roll the ball in the plate with coconut to garnish it
  6. Place the garnished balls into the food container or a bag
  7. Repeat step 7. and 8. until the mixture is finished
  8. Close the container or seal the bag with balls
  9. Place it in the fridge or cold & dry place for about 1 hour
  10. Taste it and think about upgrades
  11. Tidy up
