Peas Soup with Croutons

Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients for 2- 3 portions:

  • 4 slices white bread – cut into squares
  • 4 spoons butter

  • 300 g frost peas
  • 150 g bacon (skip for vegetarian version)
  • 1 l chicken stock
  • 3 tsp butter
  • 1 cooking cream (15%)
  • 2 potatoes – peeled and cubed
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt
  • pepper

Kitchen equipment: 

  •  3 l pot
  • Hand blender
  • Cutting board & knife

 How to: 

  1. Fry chopped onion and add sliced bacon.
  2. Add peas and potatoes.
  3. Add garlic and pepper.
  4. Add chicken stock and boil it for about 15min.
  5. Blend everything with a hand blender.
  6. Add cream and salt to taste.
  7. In a frying pan fry cubed bread in butter until golden.
  8. Serve the soup with croutons.
  9. Taste it and think about upgrades.
  10. Tidy up.
