Chicken in Mustard-sauce

Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients for 2 portions:

  • 0,5 kg potato wedges
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0,5 tsp salt

  • 250 g chicken fillets
  • 0,5 tsp salt
  • 0,25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 0,5 tbsp butter
  • 0,5 yellow onion – finely chopped
  • 0,5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 dl white wine for cooking
  • 1 dl cream
  • 0,25 dl fresh thyme
  • 0,5 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 20 g rucola

Kitchen equipment: 

  • Oven
  • Baking plate
  • Frying pan with a lid
  • Cutting board & knife
  • Plate

 How to: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 225°C
  2. Put the potato wedges on the baking plate, add oil and season with salt. Bake it for about 25 minutes in the middle of the oven.
  3. Season the chicken fillets with salt and pepper and fry them on high heat on the frying pan until golden.
  4. Put chicken fillets on a plate, lower the temperature of the frying pan and add butter, onion and sugar. Fry it until the onion gets soft without changing colour. Add the rest of ingredients to the sauce and let it slowly simmer under the lid for about 10 minutes.
  5. Serve the chicken with baked potatoes and rucola salad.
  6. Taste it and think about upgrades.
